Does it really make sense to have Kia under Hyundai? The two companies are heavily intertwined, but Hyundai does not own a controlling stake in Kia.

Kinja likes to resize images at will. It’s nice and sharp if I click on it to see the original.

I thought Darwoo was a GM brand. Yo also forgot to move Ferrari to the “independent carmakers” list which should really be label semi independent. Also doesn’t ford own Sterling?

Hadn’t even thought of Ferrari - thanks! No clue on Sterling though, I’ll have to check

Daewoo’s all over the place. Group itself became GM Korea who is responsible for GM’s small cars, and they actually still existed in Uzbekistan till 2015.

Also if we’re including Sterling, might as well add Scania under VW.

It would appear the chart for Volkswagen actually is correct, Volkswagen AG doesn’t use the VW logo.

That VW logo is for VW Commercial Vehicles

Not really, given that it’s only 5%, and there are 4 0ther groups with a higher stake in AM than what Daimler has.

Probably the only reason Lotus isn’t there is because Proton isn’t included...which it should be.

Scania is probably more deserving of a place that Sterling too be honest. Which makes me wonder, does Geely also own the rights to Volvo diesels?

If they added the commercial vehicle industry to this, it would be even bigger.

- Add Freightliner, Mitsubishi Fuso, and Western Star to Daimler

- Add Hino to Toyota

- Add MAN SE to Volkswagen, along with Scania, and a 16.6% share in Navistar International (and throw in Ducati, if you wanna include motorcycles)

PACCAR:

- Kenworth

- Peterbilt

- DAF

- Leyland Trucks (which now just builds DAFs in the UK)

- Oshkosh Corporation under independent

- Add AB Volvo, and under that add Mack, Prevost, Renault Trucks, Nova Bus, and UD Trucks (formerly Nissan Diesel)

- Add CNH Industries and under that add IVECO and Magirus

Volvo Trucks is still AB Volvo, they only sold the cars division. Also MAN is under VW. But since the title is cars...

I think it’s pretty up to date! Daewoo and Lancia probably still exist somewhere in the world, nobody cares about Mitsubishi, Genesis is just splitting hairs, and the VAG group error is NBD

LEAVE GRAPH ALONE!
